How did I fix three Circular rings at once.

Let me share a strange experience. Maybe you've heard rumors about defects and poor customer service from Circular. Well, I faced a critical issue—Error ES02: Upload Error. Luckily, I had a second Circular Slim for testing. Then things got even stranger!

How did I fix three Circular rings at once.
Circular Slim, Pro and Slim

In December 2024, I wanted to start my step accuracy testing but quickly discovered that my Circular Slim was unusable. I encountered the error "ES02: Upload Error."

"Ok," I said to myself, "maybe it’s just a connection issue. It’ll work later." Nope.

So, I tried the usual troubleshooting steps: force-closing the app, disassociating the ring, and reconnecting it. Still nothing.

Fortunately, I had another Circular Slim for my testing! But guess what? The same issue. At that point, I braced myself and contacted customer service.

Long story short (after a lengthy conversation with support)—they said it was not possible to fix. Their solution? A discount for the Circular 2.

Hm.

A Strange "Fix"

In February 2025, I finally initiated my step accuracy testing. I remembered that I still had a Circular Pro. It was old, but it looked functional. So, I associated it with my Circular app.

And guess what happened? Error ES02: Upload Error.

Three Circular rings affected by the exact same issue? Or was it something with my account?!

🆕 Out of curiosity, I created a new account on my Android phone (I originally used an iPhone). And you know what? All of them started working.

The downside of this fix? I lost all my historical data.

I have no idea how this is possible. If someone from Circular is reading this, please explain.
