Most of my videos are carefully planned and structured—but this time was different. No script, just an open and honest look.

I got my hands on four brand-new smart rings that arrived almost at the same time: the Mirror Ring, Tesla Ring, VIV Ring, and the SR08 with a display from Xiaomi.

Each claims to offer something unique—or at least that’s what they say…

🪞 Mirror Ring: High Expectations, Still Feels Like a Beta

I backed the Mirror Ring through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, drawn in by the clinically styled Mirror Health App. After a long calibration period (48 hours), I was hoping for deeply personalized insights.

Instead, I was greeted by an interface that feels like a stripped-down version of the Oura Ring wo subscription —a few numbers and some generic suggestions.

One interesting feature is the “Immune” category, which theoretically could alert you to upcoming illness. But for now, it’s more confusing than useful.

In terms of width, the Mirror Ring is similar to the Ultrahuman Ring AIR, but it’s noticeably thicker. Unlike the Ultrahuman, however, the Mirror Ring hasn’t impressed me yet—neither with its hardware nor its insights.

♾️ Tesla Ring & VIV Ring: Chinese Twins

These two smart rings share similar dimensions, identical charging pins, and the same internal build—clearly, we’re looking at so-called “clones” that different brands slightly customize and rebrand.

Tesla and VIV ring

The Tesla Ring is sold in the Czech Republic under the name G55, while the VIV Ring came to me from South Korea.

During the filming, I focused mainly on the Tesla Ring, especially its pretty well-made app. It measures heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, HRV, and even estimates the REM sleep phase — something that some clone rigs-apps don’t deal with at all.

The VIV Ring, on the other hand, was supposed to feel futuristic thanks to AI-powered sleep sounds — but I haven’t even installed the app yet.

🕐 Xiaomi SR08 with display: a flashy gold ring with a screen

I ordered a gold ring labeled SR08 from AliExpress, which features a small display. It shows the time and basic data. It uses the JRing app, which is reminiscent of other well-known clones (like the EQ R3 Ring). The biggest advantage is the ability to show the time directly on the ring — something most smart rings can’t do. Other than that, it’s a basic device, with no in-depth sleep or health analysis.
